what are the Five First Saturdays?

Our Lady of Fatima promised that devotion to her Immaculate Heart would bring peace to the world and among all people. The Five First Saturdays Devotion gives us a Second Chance at staying committed to our promises and ensures we continue along the path to sainthood. Devotion to the Immaculate Heart cements the presence of the Holy Spirit within us and allows us to become beacons of Merciful Love to the world.  Learning to love Mary means learning to love Jesus more. The Five First Saturdays Devotion is a grace of Mercy given to us by Jesus through Mary so that our hearts can be set afire by the Holy Spirit. The Devotion not only unites us with these two hearts but also to the fire within our own hearts that drives us to bring other the Joy of the Gospel to the world.

4 Simple Requirements
One Intention: to Console the Heart of Mary

Communion

Receive Communion on the first Saturday of five consecutive months with the intention of making reparation to Our Lady.

Confession

Go to Confession 8 days before or after the First Saturday; repenting for our own sins that sadden the Heart of Mary.

Rosary

Say the Rosary on the day, keeping in mind the joys and sorrows of Our Lady during her hidden life with
Christ her Son.

Meditation

Keep company with Our Lady by spending 15 minutes of meditation on one or more of the
Mysteries of the Rosary.

It's not just a devotion

...It's a Lifestyle

We want to love the Lord Jesus with her heart, or rather that she would love the Lord with our heart.

Encounter Your Mother

Through a conversion of heart, beginning with Marian Consecration and inflamed through the Five First Saturday Devotion, one can surely follow the path to sanctity.  Mary offers herself and her protection to souls by means of these devotions, ensuring entrance in a special way to the Sacred Heart of her Son.  The First Saturday of every month gives us the opportunity to encounter Mary as we first did when we made the Marian Consecration, uniting ourselves with others who’ve also said yes to Mary’s protective grace.
